Coventry Homes Lawsuits
Employment lawyer Aaron Levitin filed claims totalling $6.2M against Coventry Homes, a new-home builder in Edmonton, on behalf of five former employees who allege they were victims of sexual assault, a toxic work environment, wrongful dismissal and retaliation.
Ferguson v. Yorkwest Plumbing Supply
Aaron and Gurlal Kler successfully represented an employee who was wrongfully dismissed and owed commissions. The employer repeatedly tried to delay the case, leading the court to strike out the employer’s defense due to their obstructive behavior. This wasn’t just a win for Aaron’s vindicated client, who was awarded $10,000 in costs, but a strong reminder that justice prevails, even against delay tactics.
Education
Aaron graduated on the Dean’s List from Western University with an Honours Specialization in History in 2017.
He obtained a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Calgary Faculty of Law in 2021, where he participated in the McGillivray Moot, negotiation competitions, and assisted victims of domestic violence in the Pro Bono Students of Canada’s Emergency Protection Order Project.
