What’s going on at Shopify?

Shopify has reportedly scaled back the size of its customer support division to kick off 2025.

Sources told Business Insider that the Ottawa-based e-commerce giant’s “Support” team has undergone multiple rounds of smaller, quiet job cuts since 2022.

The exact number of employees affected by the latest round of cuts remains unclear.

One person familiar with the matter claims that at least a dozen positions have been eliminated.
