Show Notes
- Slip and fall accidents: It is important for individuals involved in a slip and fall accident to first seek medical attention. It is not always apparent if there are serious injuries or ailments that can progress in severity. It is vital to record the state of the area in which the slip and fall occurred. Photographs and video evidence can be taken by the individual who has fallen or a witness. Evidence is necessary to claim insurance benefits.
- Unable to work due to injuries after a car accident: In the event of a serious car accident there are many components that should be taken into consideration. Examinations are typically requested by the insurance company in order to determine which accident benefits category an individual is qualified for. It is vital to ensure all elements of an accident benefits claim are accurate. Accident benefits can provide security for claimants who are no longer able to work or undergoing extensive treatment and recovery.
- A back injury after a fall: Some injuries after an accident can cause long-term injuries; such as ongoing back and spinal injuries. In Ontario, OHIP pays for most treatments that an individual needs after an accident. Laws protect OHIP and ensure they are reimbursed if a claimant has received benefits from another individual.
