Rogers Communications Slashes Dozens of Sports & Media Jobs
What’s going on at Rogers?
The Sports & Media arm of Rogers Communications (Rogers) has eliminated dozens of workers in its audio business.
“With the radio industry continuing to feel the pressure of an uncertain advertising market, we made some difficult but necessary changes in our audio business impacting roles in several markets,” spokesperson Charmaine Khan told CBC News in an email.
Khan added that the telecommunications giant has no plans to curtail programming or close certain radio stations.
