Perley Health, a long-term care home in Ottawa, is planning to eliminate approximately 6% of its workforce — citing the need for “staffing adjustments.” (CBC News)

“The core nursing and personal care model at Perley Health remains unchanged, and we continue to meet all provincial requirements for staffing and quality of care,” Jay Innes, Perley Health’s director of communications, said in a email.

According to reports, the reduction is expected to affect 39 unionized roles and 13 non-unionized positions.
