IBM Reportedly Cutting ‘Thousands’ of Jobs, Canadians Affected
What’s going on at IBM?
Samfiru Tumarkin LLP has been contacted by multiple employees at International Business Machines (IBM) — claiming approximately 200 positions in Canada have been eliminated.
The update comes after reports surfaced that the tech giant was trimming its workforce in March, with its Cloud Classic unit to be hit especially hard.
“Concrete numbers are being kept private…[but, it’s] in the thousands,” a source told The Register on March 20.
According to LinkedIn, IBM employs nearly 12,000 workers in Canada.
