The crash took place at approximately 3:05 a.m., involving a Mazda sedan and a Ford SUV. According to the Edmonton Police Service (EPS), the Mazda, which was traveling southbound, crossed into the northbound lanes, colliding with the Ford SUV that was heading southbound.
