2 seriously hurt after horse-drawn carriage, car collide in Oxford County
Incident details
Two people have been rushed to hospital after a horse-drawn carriage and a car collided in Oxford County.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of a crash involving a horse-drawn carriage on Oxford Road 13 around 4 p.m. ET on Dec. 27.
- The two individuals in the carriage are being treated for serious injuries. Their condition isn’t considered to be life-threatening.
- OPP said the horse pulling the carriage was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The driver of the car, the lone occupant of the vehicle, didn’t suffer any injuries.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
