Show Notes
- Major car accident and brain injury: Severe car accidents that result in significant injuries, such as a traumatic brain injury, should be aware of the rights awarded to them. Income replacement benefits, as well as compensation for pain and suffering, should be pursued. For those unable to work due to injuries sustained in an accident, disability benefits can be accessed.
- Different types of accident benefits: After someone has been in an accident, their insurance company places them in different categories of benefits. Individuals can be in a minor accident category, non-minor, or catastrophic category. Each category provides a certain amount of benefits for the individual. Often, individuals can run out of accident benefits despite needing ongoing treatment. It is important for accident claimants to provide relevant medical information to the insurance company or attend an assessment.
- Unable to work due to slip and fall accident and injury: Serious injuries can occur as a result of slip and fall accidents. Individuals who have been injured in a slip and fall accident should ensure all elements of the area and incident are documented. In some cases, an investigation to discover all responsible parties should and can be conducted. All necessary insurance companies must be notified to ensure the claims are appropriately filed.
