Show Notes
- Dog bite injuries and personal injury claims: An individual whose dog bites someone else is responsible for the other individual’s injuries and for any loss of income, future treatments, and damages. It is important to remember that cases that do end up in court can lead to significant damages and compensation for the injured party. The reputation of the law firm representing the injured party does factor into the amount of compensation and benefits awarded.
- Documentation in personal injury and disability cases: In personal injury cases, like slip and fall accidents, who is at fault has to be proven as well as the extent of the damages and injuries inflicted. Ultimately documentation will be able to prove who is responsible and the specifics of the injuries inflicted. If there are witnesses nearby, claimants should ask for contact information in order to help provide further evidence. It is also important to take pictures of the environment as a result of a fall or accident.
- Ongoing injury affecting future job prospects: In accidents in which a car hits a pedestrian, the driver has to be able to prove that they were not at fault. In many cases, injured parties will be entitled to income loss benefits and could have significant pain and suffering compensation. The possibility of future restrictions as a result of the injury will also have to be taken into account.
