A class-action lawsuit was launched against TD Insurance. After the pandemic hit, many were forced to cancel their trips like plaintiff Kevin Lyons. Lyons reimbursement claim through TD Insurance was denied as he was offered credits.

Return to work in another occupation
I originally stopped working because I needed surgery on my back. A few months later, my husband had multiple heart attacks and I developed PTSD and a generalized anxiety condition, along with osteoarthritis. The insurance company paid me for a while but cut me off a few months ago saying I could return to another occupation. I used to work as a customer service representative. Do I have options?

My sister is in her 50s and has rheumatoid arthritis and had to stop working as an assembler. She got disability benefits for a while, but now her insurance company is cutting her off saying she could work as a telemarketer. Her hands are deformed, and she has no computer skills. Her employer previously said they could try to accommodate her into a different type of job, but because of COVID they now say there is no work for her. What can she do?

Lost benefits due to daily life activities
I’m 48 years old and have stopped working as an assistant manager at a store due to depression as a result of a toxic work environment. Despite treatment, I’m still not better and my psychiatrist says I can’t work. I received LTD benefits for a year and a half before being cut off. I appealed twice. My doctor did mention to the insurance company that I played in a softball tournament last summer. Is that enough of a reason to lose my insurance benefits?
