Adrienne Wensel is an employment lawyer in B.C. and an associate with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Labour and Employment Law practice group.
Working through the firm’s Vancouver office, she provides support to employees and employers across B.C. on a broad range of employment matters, including, but not limited to:
- Wrongful dismissals
- Constructive dismissals
- Terminations for cause and without cause
- Severance pay negotiations
- Workplace harassment issues
- Discrimination at work
- Human rights issues
- Employment contract review and drafting

Aldergrove Duty Free Shop Ltd. v. MacCallum
Samfiru Tumarkin LLP secured $30,000 for a sales clerk after successfully arguing at the B.C. Court of Appeal that the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) shouldn’t be deducted from her severance award for wrongful dismissal.
Trial Win
Barr v. D.N. Services Ltd. dba Wolfgang Commercial Partners
Adrienne secured more than $6,000 in accrued commission for her sales manager client after successfully arguing at the Provincial Court of British Columbia that some of the wording in their employment contact was ambiguous.
Education
Adrienne graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015 with a B.Sc (First Class, Honours) in Psychology and a B.Sc (with distinction) in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology.
She obtained her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law in 2021.
