What is workplace harassment?

In Canada, workplace harassment refers to a pattern of unwelcome or offensive behaviour, actions, or communication directed towards an employee or group of employees in a work setting. This behaviour creates a hostile, intimidating, or uncomfortable work environment and can take various forms.

What happens if I experience harassment?

Employees who experience harassment should report it to their superiors or HR department, and employers are obligated to investigate and take appropriate action to prevent further harassment and protect the victim.
