A tragic incident occurred on Saturday night in southeast Edmonton, where a 53-year-old woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle. The collision took place at approximately 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ellerslie Road S.W. and 66 Street S.W.
The victim was crossing Ellerslie Road when she was hit by a 2008 Toyota Camry.
- Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene; however, despite their efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The 19-year-old male driver of the Camry was not injured in the incident and remained on the scene following the collision.
