What’s Happening?

US President Donald Trump shared his latest trade target on his social media platform, Truth Social.

In a post on Oct. 6, Trump claimed that his administration plans to implement a 25% duty on all medium and heavy-duty trucks imported into the country, starting Nov. 1, 2025.

The bombshell announcement comes as Prime Minister Mark Carney heads to the White House to continue trade negotiations.
