Toronto bracing for midweek snowstorm, drivers urged to plan ahead

What’s happening?
Toronto is bracing for a heavy dumping of snow ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for the city — warning that more than 15 centimetres (cm) of snow could fall by Feb. 13.
“Hazardous travel conditions are likely Wednesday evening into Thursday morning, the agency said.
“Motorists are urged to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.”
If heavy snowfall wasn’t enough, Environment Canada added that it’s likely the snow will transition to freezing rain.
