SUV driver dead, 2 people hurt after school bus crash west of Edmonton
Incident details
The driver of an SUV, an 18-year-old woman, is dead after a collision with a school bus west of Edmonton.
- RCMP say officers responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Highway 627 and Range Road 273 just after 2:12 p.m. ET on Nov. 5.
- While the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene, their passenger has been airlifted to hospital in critical condition.
- The driver of the school bus, who wasn’t transporting anyone at the time, was taken to hospital with injuries that aren’t considered serious.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
