Siemens Shuttering Peterborough Facility, Transferring Production to Concord
What’s Happening at Siemens?
Siemens Canada is winding down manufacturing at its Peterborough factory — affecting approximately 160 jobs.
The company said in a news release that production will be transferred to its plant in Concord, Ontario.
“Siemens understands the impact this action has on employees and the local Peterborough community, and the company is dedicated to managing this process with transparency and respect,” the release reads.
“Siemens is committed to supporting employees who are affected and will implement a comprehensive support program to assist employees during this period of change.”
Siemens is currently expecting the transition to be complete by September 2027.
