RCMP investigating fatal pedestrian collision south of Calgary
Incident details
A 52-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Okotoks–a town south of Calgary.
- Alberta RCMP say the woman and another pedestrian, a 25-year-old female, were hit on 15 Street near the Edison Badminton Centre Tuesday night.
- Mounties believe the two pedestrians were walking on the roadway at the time of the crash.
- The 52-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The 25-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation updates
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It’s unclear if any charges will be laid.
