Puma on Track to Slash 1,400 Corporate Jobs in 2025, Part of Strategic Reset
What’s Happening at Puma?
After slashing around 500 corporate jobs earlier this year, Puma is pulling out the axe again — looking to cut an additional 900 positions before the end of 2025.
The workforce reduction is reportedly part of an ongoing strategic reset, which is affecting the sportswear giant’s wholesale and direct-to-consumer operations.
“We have taken important steps to clean up PUMA’s distribution, improve our cash management, and reset our operational expenses,” CEO Arthur Hoeld said in the company’s latest earnings release.
“By expanding our cost efficiency programme, we are moving quickly to address challenges, and make the business more efficient and resilient. With third-quarter results meeting our expectations, we remain committed to executing these measures with discipline.”
