Paramount Skydance to Slash Hundreds of Jobs Following August Merger

What’s Happening?
Paramount Skydance is reportedly planning to slash approximately 2,000 jobs in the US and additional roles internationally — starting the week of Oct. 27.
Under David Ellison’s new management regime, the entertainment giant is looking to cut upwards of $2 billion in costs.
The bombshell announcement comes just months after the two companies completed their merger on Aug. 7, 2025.
Impact on Canadian Staff
It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at Paramount Skydance are affected by the workforce reducation.
According to LinkedIn, the combined company currently has more than 120 workers in the country.
