OPP investigating serious Hwy. 17 collision west of Ignace

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a serious collision involving two commercial vehicles on Highway 17, west of the Township of Ignace.

  • Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash on the highway shortly after 3:30 a.m. ET on Jan. 23.
  • A photo of the scene shows significant damage to a tractor-trailer — with their load in a ditch.
  • No injuries have been reported at this time.
  • OPP are asking motorists to avoid the area.

The cause of the two-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
