What’s going on Microsoft?

Microsoft is eliminating approximately 6,000 jobs, or three per cent of its workforce, as part of an ongoing restructuring.

“We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,” a spokesperson for the tech giant told CNBC.

The company confirmed that it will affect staff across all levels, teams, and geographies.

According to reports, it’s likely Microsoft’s largest workforce reduction since it slashed around 10,000 roles in 2023.
