Did the Toronto Maple Leafs Fire Brad Treliving?

Yes — Brad Treliving, the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, has been let go as the NHL team is set to miss the playoffs for the first time in a decade.

“Throughout the course of this season, there has been deep analysis into both the current state of the Maple Leafs organization and the direction needed to achieve the ultimate goal of delivering a Stanley Cup championship to the city,” Keith Pelley, president of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), said in a surprise statement on March 30, 2026.

“Brad Treliving is a man that we all have deep respect for, but it was determined that the club must chart a new course under different leadership.”

It’s unclear what the shake-up will mean for coach Craig Berube. He was hired by Treliving in May 2024.
