1 dead, several hurt following ice storm crashes in eastern Ontario

What happened?
At least one person is dead and several others are hurt following collisions during the weekend ice storm in eastern Ontario.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the first notable incident took place on Highway 416 near Spencerville — south of Ottawa — early in the morning on March 29.

A few hours later, OPP responded to a fatal three-vehicle crash on Highway 138 in the Township of North Stormont, southeast of Ottawa.
The incident, which took place around 9:30 a.m. ET, involved a car and two tractor-trailers.
A 33-year-old woman from North Glengarry Township was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the tractor-trailer drivers was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Investigation updates
Both multi-vehicle collisions remain under investigation.
Anyone with information on either incident, including cellphone or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the OPP.
