Man Dead, 4 Hurt Following Fiery Crash on Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway

One man is dead following a fiery multi-vehicle collision on the Gardiner Expressway in Toronto.
- The incident took place in the westbound lanes of the highway near Yonge Street just after 5:30pm ET on July 8.
- Video of the crash shared on social media shows significant damage to at least 5 vehicles — with flames spreading to a grey Dodge Ram.
- One of the drivers, a 68-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle he was driving wasn’t disclosed.
- 4 people were taken to hospital with injuries varying from minor to serious. 2 other individuals were treated by paramedics at the scene.
