B.C. Lawyer on Pharmacist’s Wrongful Dismissal Over Vaccines: Epoch Times
A pharmacist in Vancouver was terminated due to their vaccination status and, like many, is pursuing a wrongful dismissal lawsuit. Lina Reid was 60 years old and placed on unpaid leave despite no government mandate to support such a decision.
A Vancouver employment lawyer and Reid’s representation at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP informed the Epoch Times that Reid’s reason for refusing vaccination is irrelevant.

“Her decision doesn’t ultimately impact the reality that the employer can’t impose a vaccine policy absent government mandate,” said the employment lawyer. “The employer’s decision to place her on unpaid leave as a result of the policy is what is at issue here.”
The lawyer explained that Samfiru Tumarkin LLP has seen hundreds of similar claims across Ontario, Alberta, and B.C., although they’re unaware of any court decisions to date.
