What’s Happening at Lululemon?

Lululemon is planning to eliminate approximately 150 corporate jobs — affecting its store support centre staff.

“As we continue to deliver on our strategy, we regularly assess our business operations to ensure we are well-positioned for the future,” a spokesperson for the Vancouver-based apparel company told CBC News in a statement.

“Following a recent review, we have decided to evolve some aspects of our organizational structure to operate with more agility and further invest in our growth.”

The workforce reduction comes as US President Donald Trump’s ongoing trade war continues to affect supply chains and bottom lines.

Next Steps for Lululemon Employees

If you’re fired or let go from Lululemon, understanding your legal rights is crucial.

Non-unionized employees in Canada are entitled to severance pay. This includes individuals working full-time, part-time, or hourly in British Columbia (BC), Alberta, and Ontario.

The amount you’re owed is based on a variety of factors, including your role, tenure, age, and ability to find similar work.
