Google caps off 2024 by cutting 10% of top management roles
What’s going on at Google?
Google has reduced its number of top management positions (i.e. managers, directors, and vice-presidents) by approximately 10 per cent.
CEO Sundar Pichai recently told staff during an all-hands meeting that the move is part of the tech giant’s years-long push for efficiency.
In a statement to Business Insider, a spokesperson said some roles weren’t eliminated. Instead, they were changed to “non-managerial” positions.
