Show Notes
- Benefits available to an individual in a car accident: Individuals who have been injured in a car accident are entitled to a wide range of benefits that would cover treatments needed for recovery. In many cases, if an individual is unable to work as a result of their injury, they will l also be entitled to income replacement benefits.
- Designated a minor injury: For individuals with injuries deemed minor after an accident, it is important to note many benefits and programs might not be available as the necessary threshold in order to qualify has not been met. Individuals who wish to have their designation reassessed should request an assessment from the insurer. Producing medical records from a family doctor or specialist can also support an individual’s continued request for benefits as further treatment is necessary.
- Rights in the event of serious injury after a vehicle accident: It is not unusual for individuals to sustain serious injuries in a car accident that make it impossible to continue working, such as a concussion, chronic pain, etc. Individuals that are told by their doctors that they will have continued difficulties in the future as a result of their injuries, could be owed significant damages.
