Show Notes
- Ontario laws regarding motor vehicle accidents: It is essential for those who have suffered extensive injuries to be aware of the benefits available to them through insurance. There are income replacement programs as well as other potential entitlements and benefits available. There is also a potential TORTS claim if the individual injured was not responsible for the vehicle accident.
- Slip and fall accident and documenting incident: It is extremely important for individuals who have sustained a serious injury after a slip and fall accident to document the incident and the environment it took place. Pictures must be taken of the area the fall occurred as evidence for a future claim.
- Social media after an injury and while on disability benefits: Claimants should be aware of how some information can be misconstrued by the insurance company. It is important for claimants to be honest about their disability and medical condition and continue to follow recommended treatment by their medical team. Insurance companies often hire private investigators to conduct surveillance on individuals.
