Did Bolt Eliminate Its Entire HR Team?

Yes. Bolt recently confirmed and defended its decision to eliminate its entire HR team during sweeping job cuts in 2025.

“We did get rid of our HR team. It needed to happen,” CEO Ryan Breslow said in a LinkedIn post — responding to his comments at Fortune’s Workforce Innovation Summit on May 20, 2026.

“Anyone who loves creating problems vs solving problems has no role at a startup.”

Currently, the cryptocurrency company’s  “People Operations” unit is overseeing required training and serving as a resource for employees.
