Is LinkedIn Planning to Cut Jobs in 2026?

Yes — LinkedIn is reportedly planning to eliminate approximately 5% of its workforce in 2026 as part of a restructuring.

Sources told Reuters that the move isn’t AI-driven. They claim the Microsoft-owned social network is reorganizing teams and focusing personnel on areas where its business is growing.

Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at LinkedIn are being let go.

The company claims on its website that it currently has more than 17,500 full-time workers globally.
