New research warns that artificial intelligence (AI) tools are connected to an increase “pro se” legal cases — matters where individuals are choosing to represent themselves in court rather than hire a legal professional.
Based on the trends that the authors of the research paper observed, they believe this will put a new burden on judges and potentially slow down access to justice.
