43% of Workers Considering Job Change in 2026, Survey Finds

A sign saying

A recent survey by online employment platform FlexJobs found that 43% of workers are looking to change jobs in 2026.

The poll, conducted in early February, involved more than 4,000 individuals.

“Many people know they want to leave their current job, but haven’t fully defined the role they want or how their existing skills translate to a new field,” Keith Spencer, career expert at FlexJobs, told CNBC.

“Without that understanding, it’s easy to lose confidence and motivation.”

Experts also note that artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the “recipe” of most jobs — with many individuals proactively looking for opportunities where they can better leverage “unique human strengths.”
