Amazon Reportedly Planning to Slash Human Resources Workforce by 15%

What’s Happening at Amazon?
Amazon is reportedly planning to eliminate approximately 15% of its human resources division — known internally as the People eXperience Technology team (PXT).
Multiple sources told Fortune that other areas of the e-commerce giant’s core consumer business are also likely to be trimmed.
Reports of a workforce reduction at PXT come as Amazon continues to look for ways to lower employee costs while investing aggressively in artificial intelligence (AI).
According to LinkedIn, the company currently has more than 14,800 workers in Canada.
