What’s Happening at Stellantis?

Stellantis has reportedly axed approximately 100 jobs at its Windsor assembly plant ahead of a 2-week shutdown.

“The layoffs are based on seniority and are a result of regular volume adjustments at the plant,” LouAnn Gosselin, a spokesperson for the automaker, told CTV News.

It remains unclear if both unionized and non-unionized employees were affected by the workforce reduction.

The 2-week shutdown is part of a regular vacation period.
