Teilen and the team at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP secured nearly $40,000 in damages for our client after successfully arguing at the Ontario Superior Court of Justice’s Divisional Court that the initial wrongful dismissal ruling should be upheld.

Education
Teilen attended law school at the University of Ottawa — graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree. His focus was on various dispute resolution mechanisms, including pre-litigation negotiation, mediation and arbitration. This earned him an option in Dispute Resolution and Professionalism. During law school, Teilen was also a member of the university’s lacrosse team, where he earned Academic All-Canadian honours.
Teilen graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC. During university, Teilen was a member and captain of the University’s varsity lacrosse team. Teilen was also named to the university’s Dean’s List and the East Coast Conference’s Commissioner’s Honour Roll.
