Experience
Joseph Livolsi is a Licensed Paralegal at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP with the Labour and Employment Law practice group, serving many clients across Ontario.
Prior to joining Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, Joseph interned at a leading labour and employment law firm in Hamilton, Ontario. During this time, Joseph assisted with client matters in workplace issues including:
- Wrongful dismissal;
- Severance pay in Ontario;
- Employment standards (Ontario);
- Human rights;
- Employment contract and policy formation;
- Collective bargaining agreements; and
- The prosecution and defense of regulatory proceedings under the Provincial Offences Act.
Joseph is committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion. He is a dedicated advocate who believes in providing access to legal services. In his spare time, Joseph is a volunteer soccer official and helps promote Canadian amateur soccer talent. He is also a loyal fan of Toronto’s professional sports teams and enjoys spending time with his family and two Rottweilers, Titan and Remy.
Education
Joseph completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Economics at York University and his Paralegal Diploma at Seneca College. He holds the Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designation and is a sessional College Professor delivering the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) program.
