Brynna Hambly is a B.C. employment lawyer and Associate with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Labour and Employment Law practice group, serving clients across the province.

Education
Brynna obtained her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Calgary. She completed her first year of law school at the University of Saskatchewan.
During law school, Brynna was the recipient of an academic achievement award for top marks in Civil Procedure. She was also a contributing author to a book entitled, Farm Workers in Western Canada: Injustices and Activism (2017).
Prior to getting her J.D., Brynna graduated with distinction from the University of Calgary — obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies (with a minor in Japanese).
Initiatives
Community Work
Brynna currently volunteers as a board member with Community Futures North Okanagan, an organization, which assists citizens of the North Okanagan achieve and obtain permanent employment and sustainable development.
She is a former board member at-large for the Turning Points Collaborative Society, which provides outreach, shelter services, and various housing options for vulnerable people experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, homelessness in the Okanagan and offers employment, addictions recovery, and affordable housing programs.
Brynna was recognized in 2018 by the Vernon Chamber of Commerce as one of the “Top 20 Under 40” for promising young business people in the community.
In law school, Brynna was pro-actively involved in giving back to her local community by volunteering with organizations that provide legal advice and legal services for low-income and marginalized people, including:
