580 CFRA – Uber court ruling exposes dangerous loophole, critics say

Uber drivers who want to fight their employer in court will have to go to the Netherlands to do it, an Ontario judge has ruled.

Employment Lawyer Lior Samfiru, who represents thousands of Ontario Uber drivers in their class action lawsuit against the ride share giant, told Newstalk 580 CFRA’s Rob Snow why this result essentially means that “you can take our employment laws and essentially throw them in the garbage. Rights are of no value if they cannot be enforced.”
