Two Hamilton residents and dog killed in Burlington collision on Guelph Line
Incident details
A tragic car accident in Burlington resulted in the deaths of two people and a small dog early Thursday morning. The incident occurred just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Guelph Line and Lowville Park Road. According to Halton police, a silver Mitsubishi sedan driven by a 47-year-old man from Hamilton was traveling north on Guelph Line when it failed to navigate a left turn, causing the vehicle to slide off the roadway and crash into a retaining wall.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters and taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. The passenger, a 41-year-old woman, also from Hamilton, was pronounced dead at the scene. A small dog in the vehicle also died as a result of the crash.

The Halton Regional Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is actively investigating the accident. They are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including factors that may have contributed to the vehicle losing control.
