4 Hospitalized After Ambulance, Tractor-Trailer Collide North of Belleville

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after an ambulance and a tractor-trailer collided at a major intersection in Madoc — a community north of Belleville and northwest of Kingston — on Feb. 2, 2026.

What Happened?

• The incident took place at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 62 around 3pm ET on Feb. 2.
• An aerial photo of the scene showed the tractor-trailer on its side with the ambulance beside the vehicle.
• One paramedic was airlifted to hospital in critical condition. Another paramedic was taken to hospital with “undetermined injuries.”
• According to officials, 2 occupants of the tractor-trailer were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Investigation Updates

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
