Motorcyclist, 21, Dead After Crash Near Oakridge Park in Scarborough
Toronto police are investigating the city’s first motorcycle fatality of 2026 — taking place near Oakridge Park in Scarborough on April 5, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place in the area of Danforth Avenue and Byng Avenue, west of Warden Avenue, shortly after 3pm ET on April 5.
- According to officials, the motorcyclist — a 21-year-old man — was travelling westbound on Danforth Avenue when he collided with a motorist attempting a left turn into a plaza.
- The motorcyclist was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.
- The driver of the vehicle that made the left turn remained at the scene.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
