SUV driver, passenger hospitalized after serious Hwy. 400 crash in Vaughan
Incident details
The driver of an SUV and their passenger have been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 400 in Vaughan.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the incident took place in the northbound lanes of the highway north of Teston Road around 10:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 4.
- A vehicle reportedly crossed over the centre line, hit an SUV, which caused the SUV to rear-end a tractor-trailer.
- In an update, officials said the passenger in the SUV, a 64-year-old man, remains in critical condition.
Investigation updates
The cause of the multi-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s not clear if charges are pending.
