2 Women Hurt After Crash Near Southgate Shopping Centre in Ottawa
On April 6, 2026, an SUV and a sedan collided near Southgate Shopping Centre in Ottawa — leaving both drivers hurt.

What Happened?
- Emergency crews responded to reports of a 2-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hunt Club Road and Albion Road South before 7:30pm ET on April 6.
- Firefighters had to remove one driver from their vehicle, while the other driver was found on the ground outside of their vehicle.
- The drivers, both female, didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries.
- Due to one of the vehicles “smoking” following the crash, firefighters applied a fluid absorbent at the scene and disconnected the batteries.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
