Sedan Driver, 30, Dead After Transport Truck Collision South of Ingersoll

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a sedan and a transport truck that took place south of Ingersoll on Aug. 17, 2025.

What Happened?
- The incident occurred at the intersection of Culloden Line and Mount Elgin Road shortly before 7pm ET on Aug. 17.
- OPP said the driver of the sedan, a 30-year-old Strathroy resident, was rushed to hospital. Unfortunately, they later succumbed to their injuries.
- The lone passenger in the sedan has been taken to a trauma centre. The severity of their injuries hasn’t been disclosed.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the transport truck.
- Culloden Line was temporarily closed between Ebenezer Road and Daniel Road.
- Mount Elgin Road was temporarily closed between Pigram Line to Dereham Line.

Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
