Samfiru Tumarkin LLP partners with CP24 on Ask a Lawyer, tackling Ontario employment law myths

press release, media

Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, Canada’s most positively reviewed employment law firm, is proud to announce that it is partnering with CP24, Toronto’s source for breaking news, to host Ask a Lawyer – a weekly 30-minute television program that addresses the most important questions about employment law and debunks common misconceptions that have caused employees to miss out on their full workplace rights and proper compensation.

Launched on Wednesday, June 8 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CP24 (airing again Tuesday nights at 11:30 p.m. ET on BNN Bloomberg), Ask a Lawyer is hosted by John Scholes and prominent Canadian employment lawyer Lior Samfiru.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with CP24,” says Samfiru, co-founding partner of Samfiru Tumarkin LLP. “Throughout my career, my priority has always been to educate the public and protect workers’ rights. Many aspects of employment law are elusive and often overlooked by both employees and employers, which is why Ask a Lawyer is such a vital resource.”

Ask a Lawyer will provide the opportunity for millions of non-unionized employees in the GTA and across Ontario to learn about their employment rights and how to respond appropriately to various situations that develop in and around the workplace. The program will explore a wide range of important topics, from severance packages to maternity leave, and employment contracts to harassment in the workplace. Viewers will learn about rights they never knew they had.

Viewers can submit their workplace questions or seek legal help from Samfiru by contacting Ask@EmploymentLawyer.ca.

Through programs like Ask a Lawyer and other services like the Pocket Employment Lawyer and Severance Pay Calculator, Samfiru Tumarkin LLP continues to be Ontario’s leader on employment rights for employees.
