A 19-year-old man has been charged following a crash in Rosedale early Tuesday morning, which police said began with the theft of a vehicle. The collision occurred near the intersection of Sherbourne Street and South Drive, close to Bloor Street, shortly before 2 a.m.sh.

- The suspect, identified as Malik Young, allegedly stole a vehicle after the driver exited while it was still running.
- The victim pursued Young in another vehicle, leading to the crash on South Drive.

Images from the scene showed two Mercedes SUVs crashed on the lawn of a property on South Drive, causing substantial damage. The impact of the collision knocked over a tree, toppled a metal fence, and scattered bricks across the property.

Police investigation
Upon arriving at the scene, officers arrested Young, who was subsequently taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Young has been charged with:
- Theft of a motor vehicle.
