What’s Happening at Recursion?

Recursion Pharmaceuticals (Recursion) is eliminating approximately 20% of its workforce as part of an effort to streamline its operations.

“The company estimates that it will incur approximately $11 million in charges in connection with the workforce reduction, consisting of severance payments, employee benefits, and related costs, substantially all of which the company expects to incur in the year ending Dec. 31, 2025,” Recursion outlined in a regulatory filing.

According to reports, the biotechnology research company entered 2025 with around 800 staffers — more than 70 individuals are located in Canada.
